Steele Named Head Basketball Cheer Coach
Darlington, SC- Trinity Collegiate School is proud to announce the hiring of Sydnee Steele as the Head Varsity Basketball Cheer Coach. Steele brings more than two decades of experience in cheerleading across middle school, high school, collegiate, and all-star levels, and she is widely respected for her technical expertise, leadership, and enthusiasm for the sport.
Steele has spent 24 years in the cheer industry, including five years as an all-star coach working with athletes at Levels 1–4. A native of South Carolina, she began her cheer career at St. James High School, where she earned UCA All-American honors and represented the United States in the London New Year's Day Parade during her senior year.
She continued her cheer journey at Coastal Carolina University (CCU), where she earned NCA All-American honors and later coached the university's club cheer team during its first-ever appearance at the NCA College Nationals. Steele earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from CCU and has since continued to coach both competitive and school-based cheer programs, leading successful middle school squads and nationally recognized all-star teams.

"She has competed and coached at nearly every level of the sport, and she understands how to develop confident, disciplined, and spirited student-athletes. As Head Varsity Basketball Cheer Coach, Steele will lead efforts to enhance performance, strengthen school spirit at athletic events, and further integrate the cheer program into Trinity Collegiate's growing culture of excellence across all athletic programs.
