Titan Swimmers Post Several State Qualifiers in Sumter
Sumter, S.C.- The Trinity Collegiate women's swim team was in action in a meet hosted by Wilson Hall at the Sumter Aquatic Center on Saturday and had several strong performances.
Junior Danielle Moeckel led the way finishing first in the 200 IM and 1st in the 100 free as well. Junior Paige Paison's strong performance in the 50 free earned her a state qualifying time. Sophomore Gia Hieshetter placed 4th in the 100 free and 6th in the 100 back. 7th Grader Kate Ogburn competed in the 50 free and qualified for state as well. 6th Grader Lila Hieshetter swam a personal best time in the 100 breast, finishing 14th overall competing against high school aged swimmers.
The Titans also competed in the 200 free relay where Gia Hieshetter, Danielle Moeckel, Paige Paison and Kate Ogburn would lead the Titans to a 3rd place finish.
Trinity is next in action on Saturday, September 20th as they head to Summerville for a meet hosted by Northwood Academy.
