Titans Topple West Florence in Pepsi Classic Finale
Florence, SC- The Titans outlasted host West Florence in a thriller in the final day of the Pepsi Classic, 77-72. It was a back and forth affair that saw the Titans grab a 26-20 lead after the first quarter before the Knights stormed back to take a 44-37 lead into the half. The Titans would come back to tie the game at 55 apiece after three periods before prevailing in the fourth quarter. It was a team effort offensively for the Titans as Senior Jy'ell Preston (Darlington, SC/Darlington Middle School) and Sophomore Garrison Copeland (Hartsville, SC/Hartsville Middle School) scored 24 points each to pace the Titans. Sophomore Swisher Boggess (Morgantown, WV/University High School) scored 11 and Junior Logan Jordan (Cincinnati OH/Carolina Elementary School) had 10 key points off the bench.
This was the last sporting event of 2025 for the Titans and the second straight victory over West Florence. The Varsity Boys' will be back in action on Tuesday, January 6th as they head to Porter-Gaud to face off against the Cyclones in a game slated to tip-off at 6:30 PM.
