Titans Best Barons in Region Opener

Darlington, SC- Sophomore Swisher Bogges (Morgantown, WV/University High School) poured in 21 points and added eight steals to help the Titans prevail over Wilson Hall in the SCISA 4A Region III opener in front of a near-capacity crowd in Sonoco Gymnasium on Friday night. Senior Jy'ell Preston (Darlington, SC/Darlington Middle School) added 19 points and 10 rebouds to post a double-double in the victory. It was a back-and-forth game, with Trinity up by single digits for most of the night, before the Titans pulled away in the 4th quarter with some clutch plays and free-throw shooting to secure the victory. The Titans move to 1-0 in region play while the Barons drop to 0-1. Trinity will be back in action on Tuesday, January 13th as they host Hilton Head Christian in another region match. Tip-off in Sonoco Gymnasium is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
