Jordan's Three Paves Way for Overtime Victory Over John Paul II on Senior Night
Darlington, SC- Trailing by three with only 7.9 seconds remaining, the Titans needed to go the full length of the court to win it on Senior Night. They would do just that as Junior Logan Jordan (Cincinnati, OH/Carolina Elementary School) would drill a three-point shot to tie the game at 58. The Titans seized the momentum from a previously back-and-forth game and never looked back, outscoring the visiting Golden Warriors 9-0 in the extra frame.
Sophomore Swisher Boggess (Morgantown, WV/University High School) would lead all Titans with 20 points, Sophomore Garrison Copeland (Hartsville, SC/Hartsville Middle School) added 16, Senior Jy'ell Preston (Darlington, SC/Darlington Middle School) had 14 and Senior Davidson Lynch (Florence, SC/All Saints' Episcopal Day School) had 10 as the Titans racked up a huge region win.
This was the final home game for the Titans, who finish a perfect 6-0 in the friendly confines of Sonoco Gymnasium this season. Trinity will be back in action in a non-region matchup this Friday, February 5th as they head to Columbia to square off with Hammond. Tip-Off at Fawcett Indoor Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
