Titans Compete Against Strong Field at Coaches Classic
Florence, SC — Trinity Collegiate turned in a solid showing at the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic District 5 Meet at the Florence City Track, competing against a deep field of area programs.
On the track, Trinity Collegiate was led in the sprint events by Dre'den Bethea, who competed in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. Bethea posted times of 11.65 in the 100 and 24.15 in the 200, highlighting the Titans' presence in the short sprints. Hawkins Butler also represented Trinity in the 200-meter dash, recording a time of 26.62.
In distance events, Jake Warren paced Trinity Collegiate in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:28.81. He was joined by teammate Chase Basta, who finished in 11:49.29, giving the Titans a strong two-runner effort in the event. Trinity Collegiate also saw participation in the middle-distance events, where Jackson Williard competed in the 800 meters with a time of 3:17.44.
In the field events, Tom Do represented the Titans in the shot put, recording a mark of 29 feet, 9.50 inches.
Overall, Trinity Collegiate showed balance across sprint, distance, and field events while gaining valuable experience against strong competition at the elite meet.
