Waiters Putback Wins It At Buzzer For Titans
Darlington, SC- Playing the first game after the dedication of the newly renovated Candance and Jim Brown Court, the varsity girls' basketball team made sure it would be one to remember forever. Trailing by one to the visiting Swampcats with less than nine seconds left, Senior Autumn Kind (Hartsville, SC/Hartsville High School) brought the ball up court looking to add to her 30-point scoring output on the night. With a strong drive and a good look at the basket, Autumn's shot barely rimmed out, but her teammate Crai'anna Waiters (Darlington, SC/Mayo High School) was there for the putback to win it for the Titans as the clock hit zero. This was an important victory over Laurence Manning for the Titans as it improved their place in the region standings heading into the home stretch of the regular season. Trinity will be back in action on Friday, January 30th as they head to Bluffton to take on Hilton Head Christian Academy in a region matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
